FLORENCE, Ariz. -

A convicted drug dealer was sentenced to 39 years in prison on Wednesday.

Kelvin "Lee Lee" Barnett was sentenced after being found guilty in May on four felony counts, including dangerous drug possession and sale and tampering with a witness.

Pinal County Attorney's Office presented aggravating factors such as Barnett's criminal history, prior felony convictions and a taped phone conversation between Barnett, with an inmate, and individuals outside of jail, where he made death threats against the prosecution team.

In court,a Casa Grande Police Officer played the recordings and pointed out Barnett using gang-related hand signals openly in the courtroom.

According to the attorney's office, the hand signal used appears to be associated with East Side Bloods, a gang set based in Casa Grande.
