Set up and operate equipment to manufacture the highest quality parts,
while maintaining production standards and safety precautions, using
Operate 3-axis and/or fiber optic lasers.
Strip and stack finished parts.
Perform quality checks using: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and tape measures.
Regularly inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure quality goals and zero defect criteria are met.
Must be able to operate an overhead crane and load laser with heavy sheets (up to 75 pounds) of steel.
Perform machine setup in accordance with the Production Package.
Operate assigned equipment according to the Production Package and ensure production standards and efficiencies are met.
Ensure housekeeping duties are a priority. Maintain a clean and safe department and workplace.
Place finished parts into designated containers. Ensure all material is clearly identified and labeled as instructed.
Ensure accuracy of completed paperwork and computer entries.
Immediately inform leader or member of management of any machine malfunction, production quality or safety issues.
Perform repetitive bending, reaching and lifting actions involving
material weighing in excess of 10 pounds and up to 100 pounds.
Monitor production supplies and material and notify Dept. Leader of shortages prior to running out.
Press brake operation.
Set-up ability or aptitude.
Operate overhead crane and hi-lo as required (license required).
Perform other duties as assigned by Department Leader.
Minimum Requirements for:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year experience performing Set Up functions in metal fabrication.
