Update: Watches Worth $200K Taken During Borgata Robbery

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -

Atlantic City police now say the items stolen during a smash-and-grab robbery at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa were about $200,000 worth of watches.

The updated estimate, down from a half-million dollars earlier, came Tuesday after a full inventory of items at the Borgata Jewels store.

All of the items stolen Monday at 8:45 p.m. by three robbery suspects were Rolex wristwatches, police say.

The men fled on foot and drove off in a dark-colored car. They were described as three guys, one in a blue jacket, one in a gray hooded sweatshirt and one in a dark-colored jacket.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley reported from A.C. this morning that there may have also been a fourth person driving a getaway car.

Five surveillance images were released overnight. Borgata security and surveillance teams have been working diligently to obtain clearer photos of the suspects, police said, while investigators are interviewing witnesses.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Atlantic City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit at 609-347-5766. Information can be sent via text to TIP411 (847411). Begin the text with ACPD. All texts are anonymous.

Or, information can be phoned to Crimestoppers at 609-652-1234.
