CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A 28-year-old North Side man was ordered held on $750,000 bail Friday after being charged with robbing, beating and sexually assaulting a woman as she waited for a CTA bus early Monday in West Town.

About 5 a.m. Monday, the woman was attacked as she waited at a bus stop enclosure in the 1000 block of North Western Avenue, police said.

Her attacker dragged her to a nearby gangway, where he beat, sexually assaulted and robbed her, police said.

Campbell is charged with one count each of aggravated criminal sexual assault, kidnapping by force or threat of force, and aggravated robbery, all felonies, police said.

He is scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.
