Once the verdict was read there was an explosion on social media, many asking if Michael Vick can go to jail for killing dogs and Plaxico Burress can be jailed for shooting himself, how can a man who killed an unarmed teen be allowed to go free?

Sunday, churches across Metro Detroit held prayer vigils including the Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church in Highland Park. Black youth were called to the pulpit surrounded with love. Church elders laid hands on their young people, a symbolic action in many faiths.

"We need to pray for peace, pray for this justice system," said Pastor David Bullock. "What is the life of one of these young people worth? Trayvon didn't do anything wrong."

George Zimmerman, Trayvon's killer, was found not guilty of second degree murder, sparking yet another conversation about race in America. Pastor Bullock prayed for both the Martins and the Zimmermans. His service was not only a call to action, but a call for peace and a reminder that young, black men are not disposable.
