A Phoenix family is alive, thanks to some neighbors who helped them from their burning home.
Around 8:30 a.m., a home near 54th and Osborn caught on fire.
Fire crews say there were working fire alarms in the home, but the family didn't hear them.
It wasn't until the neighbors knocked on the door that the family of three got out safely.
"It was a good thing someone actually alerted them knocked on their door because they were asleep at the time," said Capt. Larry Nunez, Phoenix Fire Department.
The fire burned the garage and the attic. Investigators are still determining the cause of the fire.
