COLLEGE PARK, Ga. -

Travelers found themselves in long lines after rain once again flooded the Camp Creek Parkway exit to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Saturday.

Authorities temporarily closed the exit and re-routed traffic.

Georgia Department of Transportation officials said that crews had just cleaned the road's drains a few days prior to the rain. G-DOT spokesperson Natalie Dale said that the problem isn't the capacity of the pipes. She said that crews will have to cut more holes for the water to drain through.

Dale said that the exit is now the top priority for G-DOT crews.  A hydraulic study will be conducted on July 31 and then construction will be done to provide a long-term fix to the chronic problem.
