Tech Check: Sayroom app

Posted: Updated:

Students from Georgia State University are behind a new social media app that helps you speak your mind-- literally.  It's called Sayroom, and we've got details in this week's Tech Check.

Sayroom allows users to voice how they feel about pictures, locations, and topics.  The smart app deciphers the emotion behind the recorded message.

Nuracode, a Georgia State University-founded company, is the group behind it.  Their team says they've built projects for AARP, Kodak, Samsung and even created the Veggie Tales app that is currently available in the iTunes App Store.

Sayroom launched first in Canada, and then in the United States.  It has more than 20,000 downloads, and is available for iPhone.
