Caught On Video: Man Throws Raccoon To Save Pet Dog

Posted: Updated:

Most animal lovers will go to great lengths to protect their pets from danger.

And that's just what one California man did that has his video going viral with nearly 7 million hits.

Kevin Rose says he woke up in the middle of the night because his dog Toaster was yelping in pain.

He ran outside to see Toaster under attack from a wild raccoon, and his instincts took over.

Without hesitation, Rose ran towards his dog, picked up the raccoon and tossed it down the stairs.

The entire scene was caught on his home surveillance system.

Kevin says he would never encourage violence towards animals, but he feared for his dog's life.

He says Toaster is doing OK, aside from some claw and bite marks.
