SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (Associated Press) -

The Stanley Cup is making its second trip to Illinois' state capital in four seasons.

The Cup that was taken to the Illinois State Capitol Dome after the Chicago Blackhawks won it in 2010 is on Monday making an appearance at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield just weeks after the Blackhawks won it again.

Team chairman Rocky Wirtz will accompany the Cup to the museum, where there will be a series of events for civic leaders, elected officials and members of the armed forces.

Even the governor's expected to attend.

The public will also get a chance to see the Cup in the morning, both before it is taken inside and afterward.
