(WJBK) - Crime Stoppers asking for your tips to solve the murder of Thomas Harris. The 46 year old father was shot and killed June 9th in Inkster. He was coming home from the store when his wife heard gunshots. She ran outside and found her husband, who'd just been shot several times.
Harris leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a son, as well as a grandchild. Today his family gathered with representatives from Crime Stoppers to plead for your help. "For someone to take away my husband, it's just unreal. My children won't have their father, my daughter won't have him there through the most important times... she'll have to go to prom without her father seeing her. And I will have to live without my husband," said Trina Harris.
The Romulus High School graduate worked at Detroit Metro Airport as a Skycap for 22 years. He even received the Distinguished Service Award from the City of Detroit for becoming a preferred Skycap.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest. If that tip comes in my midnight July 31st, 2013, that reward increases to $3,500.
If you have any information that could help catch the person or persons who killed Thomas Harris call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP or 1-800-773-2587. All calls and cash rewards are completely anonymous.
