Police: Gentlemen's Club Dancer Falls From Luxury Condo Balcony

PHILADELPHIA -

Investigators from South Detectives spent several hours outside and inside a 12th-floor condo Friday at The Residences at Dockside condominium complex on the waterfront.

They came with a search warrant looking for answers in the death of 30-year-old Ngoc Tran Vo who fell from the balcony early Friday morning.

"The circumstances that lead to her falling at this point we are investigating all aspects," Capt. Larry Nodiff told FOX 29 News. "At this point we'll see where our investigation leads us."

Police were called to the luxury waterfront condo complex around 4:30 a.m. after the 30-year-old Vietnamese woman's body was discovered on a fourth-floor terrace after an eight-story fall. Detectives have lots of questions.

Nodiff explained that they're looking into "why she was here, obviously all the circumstances of the evening, how she ended up here and her relationship to the occupant of the property."

Detectives also visited the Club Risque Gentlemen's Club up the block on Columbus Boulevard. Sources say the man inside the condo at the time of the fall met the Vo at the club, where she works as a dancer. The pair returned to Dockside shortly before the fall .

"So far, he's been cooperating with the investigation," Nodiff said.

"I am concerned about it, yeah," one resident at Dockside told FOX 29.

Late Friday afternoon, police towed a Mercedes E500 from the complex. They would not say who owned the car. Neighbors who live in the 16-story condo complex were stunned to learn of the Northeast Philadelphia woman's death.

"From my balcony, I could see a chair, a pocketbook set against the railing," Dennis Bing said, "like somebody could step up on it and over. They won't tell us anything. Security is very tight."

"There's a lot of parties in the building, but nothing going on like this. So it's crazy," resident Andy Cregar said.

For now, police believe the fall was accidental, but the final word will come after police get results from an autopsy and toxicology tests on the victim.

Officials at The Residences At Dockside acknowledged the woman was a visitor here. They expressed their condolences to the victim's family but would not comment further.
