CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A 17-year-old boy was charged with robbing and sexually assaulting two women at gunpoint in the South Chicago neighborhood during separate incidents over the weekend, police said.

Rasheed Hinton, of the 9100 block of South Colfax Avenue, is facing two felony counts of aggravated robbery, as well as two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, Chicago Police announced early Tuesday.

An unnamed juvenile male was also arrested for the attacks, though it is unclear if he has also been charged.

The two are accused of approaching lone women and robbing them at gunpoint, before directing them to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulting them, police said.

The first attack occurred in the 8900 block of S. South Chicago Avenue just after midnight early Saturday, police said. The second was on Sunday, about 9:45 p.m., in the 9000 block of South Exchange Avenue.

Descriptions provided by the victims helped investigators track down the accused attackers, police said.

Hinton, who was charged as an adult, was scheduled to appear in Cook County Bond Court on Tuesday, police said.
