Police search for girl, 15, missing from Southwest Side

Police are asking for the public's help finding a teenage girl who went missing Saturday from the South Lawndale neighborhood.

Odalis Alvardo, 15, went missing about 1 p.m. Saturday from the 2600 block of South Homan Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Area Central detectives.

Odalis is described as a 5-foot-3, 127-pound Hispanic girl with a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes, police said.

The girl frequents the 2300 block of South Drake Avenue and the 2400 block of South Avers Avenue, police said.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
