Detroit police to host recruiting fair August 17

DETROIT (WJBK) -

The Detroit Police Department is looking to hire new officers, FOX 2's Maurielle Lue reports.

Police Chief James Craig unveiled details a recruiting fair to be held Saturday, Aug. 17, during a news conference Thursday.

Interested candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver's license and no felony convictions.

The fair will take place between 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Detroit Police Public Safety Headquarters on 1301 Third Street.
