Fire damages a dozen units at Detroit apartment complex

DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

As many as a dozen people are looking for a new place to live after fire tears through an apartment building on Detroit's west side overnight.

Crews say at least 12 units were damaged by the blaze at the building located in the area of Plymouth and Wyoming. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The American Red Cross, Southeastern Michigan Emergency Services responded and is providing food and temporary lodging to one of the families affected as well as assistance to the other residents.
