'That '70s Show' Actress Lisa Robin Kelly, Dead at 43 - Fox 2 News Headlines

'That '70s Show' Actress Lisa Robin Kelly, Dead at 43

Posted: Updated:

From Lauren Sivan:

Lisa Robin Kelly played "Laurie" Topher Grace's older sister on "that 70's show."
She was only 43, but had been battling demons for years. Her agent says she voluntarily checked herself into a rehab facility here in California on Sunday.

But TMZ reports it was her boyfriend who first took her to a hospital where she had a blood alcohol level of .34. he then dropped her off at rehab.

Her boyfriend blames her latest lapse on her ex husband who assaulted her back in May to get residual money from that 70's show. She filed for divorce in July.
The cause of her death is unknown at this time but we're told she passed away in her sleep.

(FOX 11 / FOX News) Lisa Robin Kelly, who rose to fame as Laurie Forman on "That '70s Show" died on Wednesday night, her manager told FOX411.

She was 43.

The actress died in a rehab facility, and her cause of death is still unknown.

"Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away last evening. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," her manager Craig Wycoff said.  "I spoke to her on Monday and she was hopeful and confident, looking forward to putting this part of her life behind her. Last night she lost the battle."

Since Kelly's role on "That '70s Show" wrapped, she was often in the news for her legal troubles. Most recently on June 23, the actress was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

It was not her first brush with the law. Kelly and her husband Robert Joseph Gilliam were arrested last November in connection to a disturbance at their home in the Charlotte, N. C., suburb of Mooresville.

Few actors could register disbelief, exasperation or annoyance with more comic subtlety.
In a story July 20 about the death of TV legend James Garner, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the actor was "found dead." In fact, he died in the presence of family and others.
