$5 million lottery ticket sold in Joliet

JOLIET, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Someone in the southwestern suburbs is $5.7 million richer after a Joliet gas station sold a winning ticket for Thursday night's Lotto drawing.

The winner, who has not yet come forward, bought the Quick Pick ticket at the Speedway at 1621 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet, and matched all six numbers, according to the Illinois Lottery.

The gas station will get a $57,000 bonus, 1 percent of the jackpot amount, for selling the winning ticket.
