Destiney & Faith Hope To Sink Their Hearts Into A Forever Home

Posted: Updated:

You've seen the movie … and you know the theme song …but aside from the Hollywood blockbuster, the Titanic is a real piece of history. And currently you can absorb a part of that history at Titanic the Experience in Buena Park, California.  We took sisters Destiney (1998) and Faith (2001) – who are currently in different placements – along on our voyage to the exhibit and were reminded that, whether near or far, a sister's love grows and goes on in the heart.

Destiney (1998) is a charming and artistic young lady who likes to express herself through art.  She also enjoys reading mysteries and horror stories and is fascinated with forensic science. While she isn't currently placed with her sister, she is the oldest child in her foster home and true to her nurturing and outgoing spirit, she spends time playing with the younger children in her home.

Faith (2001) is an engaging young girl with a sweet and thoughtful disposition. She's inquisitive and has even taken an active interest in learning to speak Spanish. Like her older sister, she's also very helpful and has an easy going personality. Not only is she close in heart with her sister, she also enjoys many of the same things – mysteries in books and movies and forensics as a possible career.

With their interest in forensics, Destiney and Faith enjoyed the interactive exhibit as they engaged actors playing the roles of the historic passengers on the ship's catastrophic maiden intercontinental voyage as well as examined artifacts recovered from the wreckage. And while they mimicked the "king of the world" scene with a green screen helm, in reality Destiney and Faith don't want to rule the ocean – they simply want to ride the waves of life together as part of the same "crew" in the same boat.

If you have the room in your lifeboat to bring and keep Destiney and Faith together on a permanent basis, we're waiting to hear your call.

Recently, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rolf M. Treu ruled that teacher tenure statutes -- violate the California state constitution. In the landmark case "Vergara v. California," Judge Treu held that tenure makes it almost impossible to fire incompetent teachers.

Ponytails and rides with wheels were just some of our favorite things about this week’s Wednesday’s Child when we met up with sisters Victoria and Toni for a day of food, fun and play at Chuck E Cheese’s. Take a look as we help these two kids just be kids, with the help of the resident mouse!

There’s a ‘70s song that proclaims “video killed the radio star”, but this week we accompany three siblings who are fans of music and of radio to one of their favorite local radio station – 102.7 KIIS FM – to see just how alive and well radio is.
