Flood Advisories Up For Some Parts Of Area

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

A Flood Advisory is posted for seven local counties as lines of rain continue to move across the Philadelphia region.

Counties in the Flood Advisory include: Delaware, Philadelphia, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem.

An earlier Flood Warning for northern Mercer County, southern Somerset County and central Middlesex County was allowed to expire early.

But more rain is on the way this afternoon.

Some of these storms we've seen Thursday have produced up to two inches of rainfall per hour.

CHECK: Latest Weather Warnings, Watches, Advisories

The NWS warns that "driving into flood waters could cost you your life or at the very least...thousands of dollars of vehicle damage. Nearly half of all Flash Flood fatalities are auto related. Turn around, don't drown."

It's still pretty muggy out there, and unsettled, too. Expect more pop-up showers and storms. We're in the 80s for temperatures by mid-afternoon, and it feels like the upper-80s with the humidity.

The clearing begins tomorrow.
