DeKalb County police say they're searching for a gunman who opened fire on two people near a shopping plaza in Stone Mountain on Monday afternoon.

Authorities say it happened near Rockbridge Road and South Stone Mountain-Lithonia Road.  Police tell FOX 5 one woman was shot in the head, while a man was shot in the hand.  FOX 5's Morse Diggs reports neither injury is believed to be life-threatening.

Early indications are that the gunman walked up to the man and woman and got into some kind of argument with them.  A gun was pulled and shots were fired.  Both victims were taken to area hospitals.

Investigators taped off an area around a McDonalds restaurant while they investigate.  They say a call to 911 was made inside the McDonalds.  Investigators are still talking to witnesses, and they're still searching for the person responsible.
