Silent Witness is offering up a $1,000 reward for help finding two attempted purse-snatching suspects.

About 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, a 67-year-old woman was loading groceries into her car in the Fry's parking lot at 42nd Ave and Cactus Road.

She was approached by a man who grabbed her purse from the shopping cart and got into the driver's side of a parked vehicle.

The man handed the purse to a female suspect in the passenger seat.

The victim followed the suspect and reached into the car from the passenger side, playing tug-of-war with the female suspect. The 67-year-old was eventually able to recover her purse.

The suspects fled in a gray 2002 Nissan Sentra, and a witness was able to take very clear photos of the suspects.

The victim suffered minor scratches to her hands and wrists during the struggle.

The man is described as a white male, 18-25 years old, 5'7"-5'9", 150-170 lbs. The woman is described as a white female, 18-25 years old, 5'4"-5'7", 120-150 lbs. They are facing charges of strong armed robbery.
