I don't know why I am nervous about a sophomore slump. Maybe it's because Wilson isn't exactly a drop back, in the pocket passer and for the first time in my playing fantasy football I've got a guy who isn't a sling it first QB. I don't think he'll let me down in that he should pass for between 240 and 250 and throw a score. He should also run for 50-60 yards and punch another one in on the ground.
Marshawn Lynch will find the end zone, but he'll struggle to find 100 yards against a solid Carolina defense.
Golden Tate was Charch's sleeper of the preseason and he'll produce out of the gate. 75-80 yards and a score should be the box score. Sidney Rice is working through a knee but practiced this past week so he'll go. Don't expect more than 60 yards though.
Steven Hauschka is the money man. He will produce big numbers in week one with double digit points.
I love the Hawks on the defensive side of the ball. Start with confidence.
Cam Newton was the best fantasy quarterback in the second half of the season last year. He'll pick up where he left off with a 270ish yard performance and a pair of touchdowns. He'll send one to Steve Smith who should pick up around 80 yards and the other to tight end Greg Olsen.
If Jonathan Stewart were playing, I would avoid the combo, but DeAngelo Williams isn't a horrible play this week. He should finish near 100 combo yards but will find scoring difficult.
A tough match up in week one for the DST side. If I have other options, I go that direction.
