Police arrest woman in fatal stabbing in Brooklyn

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police arrested a woman who fatally stabbed her live-in boyfriend inside their Brooklyn apartment Thursday night.

Officers arrived to 1890 Ocean Avenue in the Midwood section around 6:30 p.m. and found 58-year-old John Gillespie with a stab wound to the abdomen.

EMS took Gillespie to Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say 38-year-old Shoshana Gweta was taken into custody at the scene. She has been charged Manslaughter/with Intent to Cause Physical Injury, Manslaughter/ Recklessly Causes Death and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree.
