Two women were hospitalized after their car went off a Phoenix bridge and ended up on a dry river bed about 75 feet below.
This happened Sunday night near 7th Avenue and Broadway.
Police say that the women were hospitalized with serious, but non life-threatening injuries after the accident early Sunday morning.
Sgt. Trent Crump says the driver lost control of the car before it hit a concrete barrier and went down a rocky embankment to the river bottom.
It took responders about 30 minutes to remove the women from the car.
