Week one injury report

Posted: Updated:

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported today that Patriots do-everything back Shane Vereen broke a bone in his wrist and will likely sit out 2-3 weeks. Vereen was the only back to eclipse 100 yards on the ground.

The Giants attempted to remove Tony Romo from the Sunday night game and even though Romo winced for about an hour after, the team said he had the wind knocked out of him. X-rays came back negative meaning no broken ribs.

Roddy White tweeted his fans and owners today saying "if I don't practice, don't start me". White played despite the dreaded high ankle sprain but only saw two targets. We'll watch this one as the week progresses.

Evidently Zach Sudfeld wasn't just bad, he also pulled a hammy on Sunday. Rob Gronkowski is on his way back making Sudfeld, Dudfeld in many leagues.

Jamaal Charles injured his quad (again), but played after the injury to put him at 100 total yards before sitting the rest of the game in mop up time.

CJ Spiller left the game for a stretch after getting hit in the head. Fred Jackson saw more touches after the injury even though Spiller returned.

Reggie Bush dislocated his finger and hurt his groin but played through both against a Vikings defense that was mostly invisible.

Jacoby Jones sprained his MCL Thursday night and will be out 4-6 weeks.

Shonn Greene hurt his knee in the second quarter against Pittsburgh but will likely be ready for week 2.

Other News:

Percy Harvin tweeted to "keep an eye on week 7…don't hang them 11's up….we workn".
