Season 10 of Fox's So You Think You Can Dance proved to be one where the top girls had mad skills and the top guys were the competition's dark horses that got better with each performance.
So who wound up in the top spots? Would it be Aaron Turner the first tapper to make it to the finale or Fik-Shun the tiny hip hopper.
Nigel Lythgoe said with the boys it was about personality because neither one came with much technique.
With the girls, Amy Yakima and Jasmine Harper, they seamlessly went from the classic to the modern with ease. But in the end, the top guy and top girl dancers were also the ones who danced the best together.
I was the first on the media line to talk to Fik-Shun and Amy and they admitted they had no words to describe the moment they won SYTYCD.
Then I reminded them the title, comes with a spot on the 42 city tour AND $125,000 in prize money! That also made their eyes pop and they both said they'd forgotten. Pressed, Amy said she wants to travel the world. Fik-Shun will buy something for his Mom and older brother.
Speaking of the tour, SYTYCD's tour starts in Michigan October 1 and ends in Los Angeles, November 27. Tickets available at www.fox.com/dance Want to congratulate the winners, tweet them @Dance10Amy @Dance10FikShun
