Satin worshipers? Teens accused of vandalizing business, school

Posted: Updated:

Two local teenagers are accused of leaving misspelled graffiti at a Villa Rica business.

The vandals were apparently attempting to profess their admiration to Satan, but instead ended up showing their allegiance to the smooth fabric satin.

"They tried to make it appear that they were affiliated with some type of satanic ritual," said Captain Jeff Richards of the Carroll County Sheriff's Office. "They misspelled Satin, the way they tried to draw the satanic star or the pentagram just was a sign that they were obviously did not pay attention in school."

The vandals, who left the graffiti tag "Brick Squad," also misspelled the n-word and spray-painted other profanities on Neal Manufacturing Equipment's property.

Authorities said a trail of clues led them to arrest two teenagers.

Investigators say that school video showed two teenagers flooding the outside of Sand Hill Elementary with a hose. The video shows one teen wearing a stolen school t-shirt, which he left behind.

"In each of the location, they actually left us, almost a cookie crumb trail," said Richards.

The trail of evidence resulted in the arrest of two Villa Rica High School students.

Authorities say the damage will cost thousands of dollars to repair.
