Rumors of Cam Newton's demise have been greatly exaturated. Afterall, he did face a stout Seattle defense in week one. It gets much easier this week and Newton will bounce back nicely with a 300+ yard passing game and two to three scores along with another 35 yards on the ground. Welcome back Cam!
DeAngelo Williams enjoyed week one in the big boy chair and gave his owners 90 combo yards. He'll continue that in week 2 with a nice 100 yard combo game and a rushing score. Enjoy it while you can.
A few years ago we assumed Steve Smith's fantasy production would rapily decline. Not only has the Smith found the fountain of youth, he's producing top 15 WR numbers. He'll go over 100 again this week and catch a Newton score.
I like Greg Olsen this week as well. He'll catch the other Newton score and hit around 80 yards.
While I would keep kicker Graham Gano on the bench, the defense is worth a look this week and could put up double digit scores.
I don't like rookie EJ Manuel this week. If you are going with Manual, he should pull in with around 215 yards and an additional 40 on the ground.
CJ Spiller had carries and yards sniped by Fred Jackson and gave owners that took him early in the first round pause. He'll bounce back this week, with near 100 combo yards and a score.
I don't recommend the passing game because Manual is going through OJT. Stevie Johnson will have around 90 yards so roll with him if you must.
Dan Carpenter and the defense belong on your bench.
