Fox 29's Chris O'Connell was among 10 local media personalities invited to play in on the new Team Vick Field in Hunting Park on Saturday.
The new field is home to the Hunting Park Aztecs football teams. NRG Energy of Princeton, NJ hosted a media game and donated a total of $20,000 to the player's favorite charities.
The company donated $1,000 to "The Friends of Alexander Deihl" foundation which raises money for families of chronically ill children.
The company also helped fund the $1.4 million state of the art field renovation. For years, the Aztecs were unable to play games on their old field because of unsafe conditions.
Mayor Michael Nutter says the city is already planning a celebration to honor the Dragons in the near future.
