Mariska Hargitay & Warren Leight: 15-Seasons In And Excited

There's going to be a big change this season on "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit."  And that change, says star Mariska Hargitay, will be in the character she plays, Detective Olivia Benson.  But she's been changed for the good despite, and in some ways because of, the horrible things that happen to her.

Season 14 ended with Olivia being held at gunpoint by rapist and murderer William Lewis.  And for months, viewers have been left in the dark about her fate the fate of America's favorite detective.  Will she be saved?  We'll find out soon, but not before Hargitay's character is put through the wringer.

"It was the hardest thing I've ever done, without a doubt," Hargitay told The Huffington Post at the "SVU" Season 15 premiere party. "Hardest thing I've ever done."
