ANTIOCH, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A three-month investigation into a north suburban couple led to their arrest on Tuesday and the seizure of LSD, marijuana and other drugs valued at about $50,000, the News-Sun is reporting.

Alexander Story, 24, and his wife McKensie Story, 23, were arrested after police executed a search warrant at their home in the 25000 block of Fox Avenue in unincorporated Antioch.

The charges include three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, three counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm without an FOID, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police found 650 capsules of MDMA (Molly), 42.31 grams of raw powdered MDMA, 15 squares of LSD, 1 gram of the psychedelic compound DMT, 4.39 grams of marijuana, a pill press, scale, baggies and a marijuana pipe. The street value of the drugs was $50,000.

Police also seized $4,200 in cash, computers, electronic equipment and two vehicles, a 2012 Chevy Cruze and a 2001 VW Jetta, along with a .410 shotgun and ammunition.

Both suspects were being held on $50,000 bonds and are due back in court in Waukegan on Oct. 16.

"This couple was very busy," Antioch Police Chief Craig Somerville said. "This stuff is poison. We are encouraging parents to check their children's social media. They are talking about this stuff on Facebook and Twitter.

"These drugs can be hidden in plain sight in common items such as ‘Tic Tac' containers, in any over-the-counter capsules or dissolved in beverages."

Often users consume other substances such as Xanax or Hydrocodone to offset the hyper side effects of MDA and DMT, which can be deadly, Somerville said. He said young people are learning about these substances through social networking and internet sources.
