Durbin: Chicago shooting 'heartbreaking'

Posted: Updated:
CHICAGO (Associated Press) -

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin says a shooting in Chicago that injured 13 people is "heartbreaking."

The Illinois Democrat says Friday that the shooting on the city's southwest side highlights the need for what he says is "basic, sensible gun legislation."

Speaking to reporters in Chicago, Durbin says authorities will "hunt these people who are responsible."

Thursday's shooting injured a 3-year-old boy along with two teenagers. Police haven't made any arrests.
