Three Smartphone Apps To Stop Harrassment

Posted: Updated:

Ladies, are you tired of getting flirted with by persistent guys who just don't get that you're not interested? Well, good news, there's an app for that!

Tech expert Stephanie Humphrey was on Good Day and she talked about three new apps:

BSAFE is an app that has a panic button. If you press the panic, then it will track your location and alert your preset contacts that you might be in trouble. It also comes with other features like the ability to send a fake call in case you need an excuse to get away from the present situation. You can have someone trusted track your location and follow from their phone GPS to make sure you're alright.

GET AWAY FROM ME is an app that displays prerecorded messages that demands the person get away. It is as non-subtle as it gets and serves up the element of surprise in a last resort situation.

HOLLABACK is an app that tracks harassment. It tells you where in a city people report being harassed the most. The app allows anyone to enter detailed information about any harassment situations. The information database serves as a resource for everyone on where to be careful.
