Sister Kathy Avery, the principal at St. Clare of Montefalco, challenges students to read a certain number of pages every summer. If the students complete the goal, she rewards them by doing something outrageous.

This year, students completed their goal of reading 90,000 pages.

Tuesday morning Sister Kathy kept her end of the bargain and let the students watch her dye her hair turquoise, and then kiss a dog right on the mouth.

In the past, Sister Kathy sat on the roof and read all day, and another year she rode on the back of a Harley.
