Surveillance Captures Shooting Prevented By Gun Jam

Posted: Updated:

Police in Fort Worth, Texas, say that if a man's gun hadn't jammed, there might have been a massacre at a fast food restaurant. Furthermore, it's all caught on surveillance video.

The surveillance video shows suspect Jestin Joseph pulling out a gun, and pointing it at people inside.

Police say Joseph tried to rob the McDonald's, but his gun jammed. Surveillance video showed that he pulled the trigger at least five times, but it didn't work. He then runs outside, fixes the gun, and runs back inside, but it locks up again!

Police cannot explain why the gun didn't gun off, and some are even thinking it's diving intervention. Customers at the store are still in shock.

"I'm still in shock, I was in shock then, I actually thought that was it, that was the end," said Davage Armstrong. "I'm still trying to wrap my head around why I'm still here."

Joseph is under arrest.

He later told KTVT-TV in a jailhouse interview that he just wanted a cup of water, "but somebody said something, and I lost it."

The 24-year-old man is charged with five counts of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. He's being held on $500,000 bond.
