4 arrested for violations, warrants in Apache Junction

APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -

Four suspects, two of them sex offenders, were arrested from Sept. 18 to 20 as part of Operation Desert Vigilance.

Deputy U.S. Marshals partnered with Apache Junction Police to check on over 100 registered sex offenders and make sure they were complying with their registration requirements.

According to U.S. Marshals, Apache Junction has a 97 percent compliance rate compared to the national average of 80 percent because of the operation.

Although 112 sex offenders were found to be complying with their requirements, some were in violation of their rules, had committed other crimes or were wanted on arrest warrants.

Christopher Rock, 48, was arrested for sex offender registration violations.

Timothy Wahl, 49, was arrested for sex offender registration violations.

Christopher Davis, 32, was arrested for possession of narcotics and outstanding warrants.

Jeffery Lee James, 48, was arrested on outstanding warrants.
