Jacksonville Airport Reopens After Destructive Device Removed

Posted: Updated:

The Jacksonville International Airport is back open Wednesday morning after the bomb squad removed a destructive device.

The airport was evacuated after police found a suspicious package in the terminal. And another one was spotted in a nearby parking garage.

Officials say only one of those packages was destructive and had to be "de-activated."

The airport was shut down for nearly five hours before reopening.
