The Doctor is In: Breast cancer awareness

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

In observance of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're talking about breast health with two Beaumont doctors during Wednesday's 'Doctor is In' segment.

Log on beginning at 8:45 a.m. to ask your questions and chat live with Dr. Shannon Bongers, Beaumont breast surgeon, and Dr. Eric Brown, Director, Breast Care Center at Beaumont in Troy.

In addition to the chat, Beaumont will host a number of breast health fairs throughout the month of October.

Attendees will learn about breast cancer prevention, treatment, support, research trials and survivorship programs. The free airs will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the following days:

October 1

Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, suite 100

October 8
Beaumont Troy, second floor atrium

October 15

Breast Care Center at Beaumont Medical Center, West Bloomfield on Oct. 15. There is no charge to attend.
