Ne-Yo, Method Man and Doug E. Fresh are only some of the big names that lent their talents to Mack Wild's debut album, 'New York: A Love Story.'

The singer performed 'Own It' on Friday. He was accompanied by DJ Reg West.

"The essence of the song is being at the top of what you do. You just don’t do it you own it," said Wilds, 24.

The former actor and Staten Island native who starred in the TV series 90210 and The Wired said the transition to singer started a long time ago.

“I’ve been doing music since I was 15 or 16. All we needed was the right time I guess,” said Wilds.

'New York: A Love Story' is available in stores and on iTunes.
