GLENDALE, Ariz. -

A Glendale police officer does some good deeds for a nonprofit school, only to find a couple of thugs take the gift away -- not once but twice.

The Children's Center is a busy place in the downtown area of Glendale. And it's on Officer Robert Schmuck's beat. He got a call about a burglary there.

"The center had recently had a big screen TV donated by FedEx and they are a nonprofit organization," says Officer Richard Schmuck.

When he heard someone stole the center's TV, he had to help.

TV was an escape for these kids with disabilities.

"They learn life skills, and how to cope with the difficulties they are going through, and the TV was often an escape. So they could watch movies, had a PlayStation, they were just able to escape the challenges they were dealing with."

He was able to get a 50-inch TV donated from Walmart.

"We were able to present it to the students as well as the staff. It was a good feeling."

But someone stole it – again! The second time a big screen TV was stolen from the school.

"Well it's frustrating, we are a nonprofit. The officer who donated it was amazing, and we were so excited," says Michele Lythgoe of Children's Center.

Whoever took the TVs better look out, the entire Glendale Police department is looking for them.

The nonprofit school is beefing up the security. They are hoping someone might help them out with security and a new TV.
