ATLANTA -

An Atlanta-based company is giving some device owners a little piece of mind when it comes to damaging, drowning, losing or having a device stolen.

Device insurance company protectyourbubble.com started in the United Kingdom in 2008, but expanded to the States just last year.

For $7.99 for smartphones and $9.99 for tablets, the company insures devices against damage, loss and theft.

They say that 60 percent of the claims they see are because of loss or theft and both are a growing problem.

The company gave FOX 5's Doug Evans a look at some of their device testing and gave tips on how users can protect themselves.
