Salvation Army seeks volunteer bell ringers for holiday season

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (WJBK) -

The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit is seeking volunteer bell ringers throughout southeast Michigan to lend a hand during its 2013 Red Kettle Campaign.

Individuals, families or groups are needed to fill bell ringing shifts at nearly 450 red kettle locations throughout metro Detroit Friday, Nov. 8 through Tuesday, Dec. 24, excluding Thanksgiving and Sundays.

Those interested in volunteering can sign-up online by visiting www.ringbell.org, picking a preferred location, and choosing a date and time most convenient for them. Volunteers can sign up for one or more shifts, and will receive a confirmation email prior to the selected date.
