The Georgia Department of Labor is launching a program to help returning veterans find jobs.
Beginning Thursday, Paychecks for Patriots Career Expos will be held in five cities across the state, and some employers will be looking to hire on site.
State Labor Commissioner Mark Butler says Georgia companies can benefit from hiring qualified veterans.
"Georgia is doing a really good job with hiring our veterans because as of today we have processed over $140 million in tax credits right now through the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program." Butler said.
The Georgia Department of Labor is holding the job fairs in five cities: Atlanta, Augusta, Columbus, Warner Robins and Savannah.
