PHOENIX (AP) -- Jurors have concluded deliberations for the week in the retrial of a man charged with killing nine people at a suburban Phoenix Buddhist temple in 1991.

On Wednesday, jurors said one member of the panel was refusing to deliberate after having already made up her mind. That juror told the judge she felt pressured.

After questioning each individually, the judge told the panel Thursday to resume deliberations. They will start again on Monday.

Deliberations in 39-year-old Johnathan A. Doody's retrial began Sept. 24. One juror has already been removed after saying the case had become too emotional.

Doody was originally convicted in 1993 and sentenced to 281 years in prison for participating in the killings.

An appeals court overturned his conviction in 2011, ruling that he wasn't properly read his rights.
