PHOENIX -

The Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix is honoring some music's biggest female stars with a special exhibit.

It opened Saturday and some lucky visitors even got a rockstar makeover.

From the original rocker, Joan Jett, to legends like Madonna and Cher, and some newer pop princesses like Britney Spears and Lady Gaga, you'll likely find your favorite female musician featured at the Women Who Rock exhibit.

"I wanna be a singer," said Samaje Westbrook.

7-year-old Samaje Westbrook dressed like a rockstar Saturday and went to the museum with her dad.

"I think it's good for them to see the history and musicians from the past they don't know about because right now [Samaje]'s into Disney, the Miley Cyrus, and for her to see the ones who paved the path is really good history for people her age," said Dylan Westbrook, Samaje's dad.

The exhibit also offers themed foods in the cafe.

Like the Lady Gaga meat dress salad, Patti Smith's punk rock parsnip puree and Melissa Etheridge's the awakening tiramisu.

The fun didn't end there, everyone could even get a rockstar makeover.

Admission to the exhibit is $10 and the display will be up through spring.
