PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Supreme Court on Wednesday unanimously upheld a man's convictions and death sentence in the robbery and killing of an 18-year-old woman.
Stephen Douglas Reeves was convicted in Maricopa County Superior Court for the June 2007 killing of Norma Gabriella Contreras at the office where she worked.
Reeves took the victim's car keys, cellphone and wallet but was arrested within minutes because a customer at a nearby business heard her screams and called 911.
A jury convicted Reeves of murder, kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary and car theft.
