CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

Bond was denied Wednesday Three people have been charged with the death of a man whose badly burned body was discovered near a trash can last year on the Northwest Side.

Reynaldo Ocampo, 21; Joseph Saleski, 25; and Alejandro Ocampo, 17, are charged with first-degree murder and aggravated kidnapping for ransom, according to authorities.

In court Wedneday, Judge Donald Panarese ordered all three held without bond, and set preliminary hearings for Nov. 18, according to Cook County State's Attorney's office spokeswoman Lisa Gordon.

They are charged in connection with the death of 39-year-old Rodolfo Hernandez-Bey, who was found "burnt beyond recognition" on Nov. 6, 2012, in the Avondale neighborhood.

Fire Department crews responded to the 3100 block of North Central Park Avenue just after 9 p.m. and found a man dead near a garbage can, authorities said at the time.

The body had been "burnt beyond recognition," according to Fire Media Affairs.

An autopsy found Hernandez-Bey had been strangled and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Police allege that Reynaldo Ocampo, of the 5000 block of West 30th Street; Saleski, of the 1900 block of South 48th Street in Cicero; and a juvenile kidnapped the victim for ransom and later killed him.
