Tempe's Cadillac Ranch Bar & Grill to close Nov. 2
TEMPE, Ariz. -
Cadillac Ranch in Tempe will close its doors this Saturday.
The bar and restaurant was a popular party spot for Arizona State University fraternities and sororities -- and came under fire after a 19-year-old ASU student drowned after leaving the club.
"Our focus is going to be on creating a new venue that's more geared to a different demographic, day time happy hour dinner fun food and not so much the rowdy night life the place was famous for," said Chris Osborn, managing partner.
Management at Cadillac Ranch says it planned to change the concept for the establishment long before the Culolias tragedy.
The bar will serve its last drink Saturday night, then close its doors for extensive renovation.
