PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. -

A Prescott Valley man has been cited for failing to heed a stop sign, leading to an accident that injured two students aboard an elementary school bus.

Prescott Valley police say 58-year-old Clifford Deane was taken to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

They say the SUV that Deane was driving collided with the Humboldt Unified School District bus at an intersection around 8:15 a.m. Thursday.

Police investigators say they don't suspect that Deane was driving impaired.

They say 44 students were on the bus at the time of the collision.

The two children transported to a hospital are only being identified as a 6-year-old boy and an 11-year-old girl.

Police say both children's injuries are believed to be minor.
